NEW YORK
No, we have not opened the new Mango Pudding Blues 3.0 just yet. We have been on vacation in Montreal, and now we’re embarking for further vacation in New York City. When we return, we will return to the new site. Those of you who have written with your inquiries will all be directed via e-mail. We look forward to seeing you there in the new year.
In New York we intend to eat a lot of fast food at Au Bon Pain, Cosi, Pax and Burritoville. Also, we intend to eat slices of pizza on the street. Then, in January, we are going to need to go on a big fat diet.
Happy New Year.

GOODBYE
Kids, we’re down to days, maybe just hours, before we at Mango Pudding Blues shut the lights out on this site. Now, we’ve warned you about this repeatedly in the past, and we are concerned that some of you think we are kidding. We are not kidding. Those who have responded may skip this message.
We reiterate: at some point soon, this site and all that it stands for will be gone. There will be a new Mango Pudding Blues, but it won’t be here.
We will tell you where to go and when to go there, but only by e-mail. Send us an e-mail. Tell us who you are!
Because when we are gone, if you get left behind, your heart will snap in two like a dry twig. You will walk through the rest of your days as empty as a ghost. You will cry. You will cry.

FAN CLUB
The Grateful Dead had its Deadheads, Jimmy Buffett has Parrotheads, and Star Trek has those Trekkies. I believe I shall refer to you from now on as Mangoloids.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
The brand new Baz Lurhmann La Boheme on Broadway, sure. But also a visit to the tiny old Amato Opera’s The Barber of Seville for an authentically bohemian opera. Kind of the alpha and omega of New York opera at the moment. Our host S has already seen the Lurhmann thing and raved about it. What she doesn’t know is that we’re taking her to the Amato show when we go. Maybe she’ll read it here.
